One thing I have learned with my new found hobby is that it is that you need to
take an iterative approach. Start small and with what you can handle, and
then make modifications. Sometimes those modifications are more like complete
redesigns.
The Original WiMo
When everyone was introduced to WiMo, they were actually introduced to WiMo II (code
named the aggressor because of the aggressive looking tank tracks). The original
WiMo was built using a mint tin can. The twin motors (same as used in WiMo
the aggressor) are actually inside the can. This version didn't work very
well on carpet. But worse than that was the fact that if anything went wrong,
you pretty much had to take the entire robot apart. So, I made sure that the
next WiMo was much easier to take apart and had as many of the parts exposed as
possible.

WiMo NXT
Next, I'd like to introduce WiMo NXT. This WiMo uses the brand new Lego Mindstorms
NXT. While this next model is built completely (well, except for the signature
CD Platform) out of the Lego pieces you will find in the Lego NXT kit, works very
similarly to WiMo II. I did use this bot as a good time to start using Microsoft's
Robot Studio. I will be publishing how to build and code up this WiMo as well
soon. The goal is to have as close to one codebase for all the WiMos.
So expect the source code to be updated.
